Dr Ellen Finney

Dr Ellen graduated with honours in Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland. She’s worked at specialist hospitals in New York, Brazil and Australia, as well as general practices in the United Kingdom and Australia. Since moving home from the United Kingdom in 2021, Ellen has locumed at many different clinics prior to setting up Vets in the Village. She has spent the majority of her career caring for small animals and has a passion for internal medicine and imaging. Ellen is the proud owner of two beloved border collies, Zoe, Mindy and a new puppy called Paddy.

Kate

Kate is our Head Nurse. Kate brings over 17 years of veterinary experience, having worked as a
Veterinary Nurse in many clinics across Brisbane, ranging from small general practices to large
specialist veterinary hospitals. Kate has spent her career nursing and training student nurses in
Emergency and Critical Care Hospitals and has a passion for providing exceptional care to your sick
and injured pets. Kate is a proud Mother of 2 teenage children, Charlie and Lucy and Fur-Mum to
Sally the mischievous Golden Retriever and Penelope Peanut, a Chocolate Burmese who likes to
show Sally and the whole family whose boss.

Jasmine

Jasmine is a veterinary nurse and first year UQ veterinary science student. She brings 6
years’ experience working in various clinical settings. Her passion is small animals and wildlife, but in
her free time she works on her car – Lexie. While she loves all animals, she reserves a special place in
her heart for cats.

Tim

is the co-owner of Vets in the Village and partner of Dr Ellen Finney. Tim has a background in
finance and economics and takes care of the non-clinical aspects of the clinic. He is father to
Paddington, a 7 month old cavoodle who is also the clinic dog and has an unwavering passion for the
Brisbane Lions.

Anna

Anna is the newest addition to our team! She is a training vet nurse that will commence a Certificate IV in Vet Nursing this year.

Anna has decided to pursue a career in the veterinary field as her goal in life is to be surrounded by animals in all aspects in her life both professional and personal.


Britney

Our village family has grown by one more! Introducing our newest senior veterinary nurse Britney. Brit is a ray of sunshine, brining 4 years of veterinary nursing experience having worked at a range of clinics around Brisbane in including Emergency, ICU Critical Care and General Practice clinics. Brit lives with her husband Brodie, in Ipswich and is Fur-mum to Wesley Bones, Mr Snuggles and Bentley. When Britney doesn’t have scrubs on she is spending time with her family and taking Wesley to walking tracks of Mt Cootha and taking road trips around Queensland. Please give a warm welcome to Britney next time you’re in The Village.
